Quick Specs (measurements in pixels)

  1. Post content is 760 wide
  2. Sidebar is 280
  3. Videos in video posts are 760 wide
  4. Custom header height is 45 high

Creating Article Covers

You can add covers to each article by doing the following:

  1. Go to Posts → Add New
  2. Give your post a title
  3. Add content to your post
  4. Click Set Feature Image in the right sidebar
  5. Upload your chosen image (try make the image size wider than 1280px)
  6. Once the image has ulpoaded click Set Feature Image
  7. Click Publish

Widget Areas

The Writer has one widget area available:

  • Pop-out Sidebar: All widgets placed in the sidebar will appear on the right hand side of your site in a popout sidebar.

Customizer Options

The Writer has the following toggles available via the customizer:

  • “Written by” toggle: Under Customize > Theme you may select whether or not to hide or show the “Written by” text which appears on list pages.
  • “Excerpt” toggle: Under Customize > Theme you may select whether or not to hide or show your posts’ summaries on list pages.
