Everyday is both calibrated and adaptable to be pleasantly readable on almost any screen, providing a robust and versatile layout to suit your writing needs. From short quips to lengthier bits of prose, Everyday will rise to the challenge and shine with every post you publish.
The header section displays above the sidebar on the right side of the template. You can upload a Custom Header image with a width of 250 pixels. You’ll be able to adjust the height of the image to your taste immediately after you upload it.
A Custom Menu appears below the header. You can customize the list of links displayed here by navigating to Customize → Menus. If no menu is configured, this section will display a list of your published pages. Nested menu items are supported three levels deep and will always be displayed.
Everyday has a single widget area directly below the menu section in the right-hand sidebar. Navigate to Customize → Widgets to add widget content areas to this section.
Images, Blockquotes, and Video
This theme was designed to display many images, blockquotes, videos, and shortcodes larger than the surrounding content. Try it out! Upload an image that is 690 pixels wide or larger and watch it appear to break out of the content on both the left and right-hand sides. Thinner images will appear to be pulled to the left. You can also choose “Right” under the Alignment section of the Add Media screen and the image will appear pulled to the right. Read more about image alignment.
Date, category, and tag archive pages are designed in a very minimal fashion, displaying only the post title and the date it was published.
