Widely is a modern, elegant theme offering a flexible-width content area, Custom Background, Post Formats on both index and single view, as well as a bold display of your latest updates.
Featured Content slider
Special posts deserve a special place. With Widely, every post assigned with a certain tag and given a featured image will be displayed in the Featured Content Slider on the home page of your site. To enable the slider:
- Navigate to Settings → Reading.
- Scroll down to the section labeled “Featured Content”.
- Enter the name of a tag.
- Click the blue “Save Changes” button at the bottom.
Once you’ve saved your changes, posts marked with this tag will appear in the featured content slider if they have a featured image. The suggested size for featured images is 960 pixels wide and 490 pixels high.
Widget Areas
Widely comes with four widget areas located in the footer of the site. The widget areas will activate once you drag widgets to them in Appearance → Widgets.
Featured Images
Widely supports Featured Images, which, if set, will appear above your content on the blog index and single view, bold and beautiful.
Custom Header
Widely supports a flexible-height custom header image, which can be configured under Appearance -> Header.
Custom Background
Want to make Widely even more awesome? Replace the default background with your own custom background under Appearance → Background or in the Customizer.
