Standard theme documentation
Site Layout
Standard provides three layout options:
- Content-Sidebar
- Sidebar-Content
- Full Width, No Sidebar
To select a layout go to "Appearance > Theme Options". Next, choose the Layout tab. Last, select the desired layout option and click save.
Menu Customization
Standard has 3 areas that support Custom Menus.
There is no default menu created with Standard, which means new pages will not automatically be added. You will need to add them to a custom menu yourself.

Featured Images
Standard support featured images. Larger images will be resized down to 150 x 150px.
Post Formats
There are 6 post formats available for your blog content.
Image
The image width should be 580px. To style a post with the Image post format:
- Create a new post.
- Set a featured image for your post.
- Select the post format named: Image.
- Write a description for the image. (Optional)
- Update, publish, or schedule the post.
Video
To style a post with the Video post format:
- Add a new post.
- Paste the YouTube or Vimeo URL of the desired video into the body content of the first paragraph in the post. Do not include any other information.
- Select the post format named: Video.
- Add a second paragraph for a description of the video if desired. (Optional)
- Update, publish, or schedule the post.
Quote
To style a post with the Quote post format:
- Add a new post.
- Add the source of the quote to the title of the post.
- Add the desired quote in the body/content of the post.
- Select the post format named: Quote.
- Update, publish, or schedule the post.
Status
To style a post with the Status post format:
- Add a new post.
- Add the subject of the status to the title of the post.
- Add the desired status message in the body/content of the post.
- Select the post format named: Status.
- Update, publish, or schedule the post.
Link
To style a post with the Link post format:
- Add a new post.
- Add the title of the link to the title of the post.
- Add the desired URL in the body/content of the post.
- Select the post format named: Link.
- Update, publish, or schedule the post.
Custom Header
You can customize your site header by going to "Appearance > Header".
Custom Background
You can customize your site background by going to "Appearance > Background".
