With a strong minimal aesthetic embellished with subtle hints of grunge, Simfo will direct
your visitors’ focus on what matters most; your content. This theme was built from the ground up to support screen sizes from small to large. Ensuring that your site will look great while on the go.
Featured Content Section
Give special attention to select posts by adding them to the featured content section. The featured content section will display on your site’s front page directly above the post content.
To enable this section:
- Navigate to Settings → Reading.
- Scroll down to the section labeled “Featured Content”.
- Enter the name of a tag.
- Click the blue “Save Changes” button at the bottom.
Once a tag name has been saved, posts having this tag will appear in the featured content section. You can specify an image to be displayed with each post by setting a featured image.
Grid Layout
If your front page is set to show recent posts, Simfo will use the grid layout shown in the image above. In the event that you use a static page to display recent posts, a blog style layout will be used instead.
Featured Images
Simfo’s grid-style layout relies heavily on featured images, it looks best when you assign one to each of your posts. You can do this using the Featured Image meta box when you create or edit a post.
If no featured image is assigned, Simfo will attempt to pull the first attached image in your post. If no image is attached, the theme displays a light gray placeholder. Placeholders will not be shown when view on smaller screens.
Custom Menu
The Primary Menu is located at the top of the theme directly under your site’s title and tagline. It can be configured by going to Appearance -> Menus.
Custom Header
Simfo supports a flexible height and width custom header image, which can be configured under Appearance -> Header.
