Pachyderm is a cute, clean, responsive them. It’s perfect for a personal site, tumblelog-style blog, or even a baby journal.
Pachyderm supports all post formats — Aside, Image, Video, Quote, Link, Gallery, Status, and Chat — and each formatted post is styled with a special icon and color. It’s good to note that Aside, Quote, Link, and Status posts do not display the post title.
You can configure one optional sidebar by going to Appearance -> Widgets. No default widgets will appear if the sidebar is not configured, which makes for a more streamlined, tumblelog look. When the sidebar is active, the header becomes wider and the header text is centered. Please note, the sidebar in Pachyderm is quite narrow and works best with small amounts of content.
You can assign your own custom menu to the primary menu, located in the header, under Appearance -> Menus. If no menu is assigned this area will display your Pages by default.
Custom Header and Background
Pachyderm allows you to set a flexible-width or -height custom header under Appearance -> Header. You can also customize the theme with a background color or image by going to Appearance -> Background.
Wide Page Template
Pachyderm comes with a wide page template that removes the sidebar (if in use) and increases the content area width. It can be activated by editing the page in question and setting the Page Template to Wide Page, No Sidebar.
