My Life

My Life is a serene, textured blogging theme with up to three columns for your content. With multiple custom menus, sidebar arrangements, and support for post formats, it’s a flexible and versatile home for your personal journal or blog.

Widgets

You can configure up to two sidebar widget areas by going to Appearance -> Widgets.

Theme Options

You can change the placement of each widget area such that they appear to the left or right of the content column, or, if two sidebars are active, on each side of the content column. You’ll find these settings by going to Customizer -> Theme Options.

Custom Menu

This theme includes three navigation menus — two in the header and one in the footer. You can assign a custom menu to any or all of these areas by going to Appearance -> Menus.

Header Top

Primary Menu
The Header Top menu is located across the top of your site, and supports up to four levels of sub-menus. This menu will display your Pages by default if no menu is assigned.

Header Bottom

Secondary Menu
The Header Bottom menu is located to the right of or underneath the site title (depending on the site title and description length) in the header, and supports up to four levels of sub-menus. This menu will only display if configured in Appearance -> Menus.

Footer

Subsidiary Menu
The Footer menu is located at the very bottom of your site and supports one level of menu items. This menu will only display if configured in Appearance -> Menus.

Custom Header and Background

My Life allows you to set a flexible-width or -height custom header under Appearance -> Header. You can also customize the theme with a background color or image by going to Appearance -> Background.

Full-Width Page Template

My Life comes with a full-width page template that removes the sidebar(s) should you need more room for your content; it can be activated by editing the page in question and setting the Page Template to Full Width, No Sidebars. (Please note, if you do not have any active sidebars, the full-width page template will look the same as the regular page layout.)

  2. With one sidebar active, the main column width is 599 except in the full-width layout where it’s 908
