Grisaille (pronounced “griz-eye”) is a modern, grungy theme offering a flexible-width custom header, custom background, as well as convenient and stylish buttons to link to your Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ accounts.
Post Excerpts
Grisaille displays Post Excerpts on the blog index. If you don’t feel like crafting an excerpt, the theme will automatically use the post’s first 20 words.
Social Networking Icons
Navigating to Appearance -> Theme Options allows you to put in links to your Facebook, Twitter, and/or Google+ accounts, and their respective icons will be placed prominently in the header of your blog.
Featured Images
Grisaille supports Featured Images, which, if set, will appear on the blog index next to your content. If you’ve set a Featured Image for a Sticky post, it will take up the full width of the content column at 590 pixels wide.
Widgets
Grisaille includes one widget area, the Primary Sidebar, which displays a search field, bookmarks, archives, categories, and meta by default if no widgets are configured in Appearance -> Widgets.
Custom Background and Header
Want to make Grisaille even more awesome? Replace the default background with your own custom background or a flexible-width custom header. The custom header will display when configured in Appearance -> Header.
Custom Menu
Grisaille supports one custom menu in the header. The theme will fall back to display your pages if the Primary Navigation menu is not configured and saved. You also have the option of adding a menu to the sidebar using a Custom Menu widget.
