Widget Areas

Bloggy comes with four widget areas one right sidebar, and three in the footer. The widget areas will activate once you add widgets to them in Appearance → Widgets.

With the Custom Design upgrade, Bloggy makes it easy to create your dream site by changing the fonts and colors, or adding your own custom CSS.

Quick Specs (all measurements in pixels):

  1. Custom header image width is 1920.
  2. The main column width is 964.
  3. The sidebar width is 264.
  4. The footer widget area widths are 392.
  5. Featured Images are 964 wide by unlimited height on posts.

Custom Menu

You can set up a custom menu under Appearance → Menus. For detailed instructions, see Custom Menus.

You can select your new menu as the “Navigation Menu” in the Menu settings and save your changes.

Theme has ability to display different column layouts. Here is some useful HTML you can use to split the page layout into five, four, three, or two columns:

Blog Sidebar

  • Navigate to Appearance → Widgets
  • Choose any widget you want and add it to Sidebar.

About

In the Page attribute module, select About Page Template from the drop-down menu.

Full-Width Page

With the Full-Width Template options, you can create a full-width page with a maximum width of 1280px. In the Page attribute module, select Full-width without header image Template (if you don’t want the header image to be included) or Full-width with header image Template (if you want the header image to be included) from the drop-down menu.


Gallery

In the Page attribute module, select Full-width without header image Template from the drop-down menu.

You have three choices for how a Gallery will be displayed in your post: a thumbnail grid layout, a tiled mosaic-style layout, or in a slideshow. All sites default to the thumbnail grid style.
